Volunteers are defined to include parents/guardians and other members of the community, who donate their time and energy to support the students of Montgomery County. (MCPS Regulation IRB-RA, Volunteers in Schools). All volunteers who regularly support schools need to complete the Child Abuse and Neglect training. 

Volunteers may access the training, “Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect for Volunteers on the “Child Abuse and Neglect” page of the MCPS website.
